Painted during an Urban Sketchers outing on July 25, 2021. I've always found this view tough to paint as there's so much going on and it's very easy to look at all the separate pieces and get confused instead of grouping the darker values together and dealing with it that way. I think this was my most successful attempt yet. The viaduct is the remnant of a swing bridge that lasted only 50 years before being replaced by the arched bridge that's seen on the lower right of this painting.
